About
We grew up hearing the song, "coffee house er adda ta aaj ar nei."
Only later did we understand what it really meant.
It wasn't about coffee. It was about people. About time. About feeling like you belonged somewhere.
Ghor means home.
Not just a place -- but a feeling. A corner where you can be yourself. Where time slows down. Where conversations linger. Where stories live.
So why Retro Ghor?
We chose the word Retro because we believe the past holds warmth. Old songs, old cameras, worn-in clothes -- they all carry pieces of lives once lived and loved. They remind us that life didn't always move this fast.
Retro Ghor is our way of blending both.
As Bangladeshis living away from home, we slowly began to miss the little things -- unplanned conversations, familiar songs, slow afternoons, and the warmth of shared silence. Somewhere between growing up and moving away, we realised that what we missed most wasn't a place. It was a feeling.
So we started this brand.
Not as a business at first -- but as a way to hold onto memories.
Vintage clothes felt like stories you could wear. Old cameras felt like a way to keep time from slipping away. Every piece reminded us that life used to move slower, softer, with more meaning.
This brand is our way of building a home in fragments.
Of creating a space to create memories.
Right now, we're a vintage store. One day, we hope to be a cafe. A corner. A place where people come not just to shop -- but to stay.
